Book vs Film

Well, book or film? What  do you think is better?

Do you think films are always better than books, or that books are always better than films?

What about The Little White Horse and the Secret of Moonacre?

Personally I think books are almost always better than the film.

What do you think?

confuse

I haven't seen the Secret of Moonacre yet. We can't find it anywhere in the U.S.A, because it never made it here to our theaters or to the movie rental stores.
But what my mom and brothers and I saw of it in the previews on it's official movie site, told us that it wasn't anything like (nor as good) as the book! I'm pretty sure that books are better than the movies. Narnia is never as good (or much like) it's books.......however, if you'd never read the books, you'd never think that, because to you it's a good movie throughout. And you'll never notice the changes or what's missing from each detail or scene. But to the fans of the books, it is a botched movie based on the book, and most dissapointing to you that it wasn't left alone....thus almost becoming unrecognizable.
How sad that the producers and directors never want to leave a good story alone, feeling that they have to change it to keep their audiences and thinking they could improve an already timeless and amazing story!
(Ok, except in The Spiderwick Chronicles......the movie was way better than the books were.)
But still! I want to see someone remake the Little White Horse, and do it right this time.
Because my mother and I were most bothered by the fact that Robin was a PROTECTOR, SHEPHERD, GOOD FRIEND, and eventually a HUSBAND to Maria! In the movie previews, they've mad him into a lying, bullying brat that steals and tricks you! How cruel to portray such evil characterisms to what Elizebeth Ghoude had intended her readers to like, so that it wouldn't be entirely based on her book!

Exaxctly!

I think a remake, possibly more historically correct (like the book) should be made.
I've never seen the film, but to be honest I'm quite happy knowing the wonderful story of the book.
